HISTORY

This whole goofy idea for a band started back when I was in the ARMY somewhere around 1988. When I got out of the service in 1991, I was accepted to Music Tech ( now McNally-Smith ) to study guitar. During that time I started the first incarnation of Bones Gang with me on guitar and vocals. All four of us were students at Music Tech which was kind of a novelty at the time. No other band could boast that, not that it mattered at all. We scored a few gigs, but nothing was to come of it. Family issues forced me to part ways with the original members and in 1994 I decided to try it again only this time as a 3 piece with me on bass. Again, we scored some shows and about a year later it fizzled again. I decided it would be easier going if I were to play for a more established act. My first audition landed me the gig in HitchHiker and it was pretty easy going from there. I tried restarting Bones Gang in 1996 while playing in HitchHiker, but again with no success. I played for HitchHiker, Bad Jack, Nova Cain Tongue, The Killawatts and then back to Bad Jack. While in Bad Jack the second time, I found the crew that would make the nucleus of what would become the current version of Bones Gang. Bad Jack broke up after putting out one CD and playing some awesome shows. Lyle, Pete & Myself had made the decision that we didn't want our past original material to die and wanted to create some more. We moved on from Bad Jack and re-created Bones Gang. We started playing shows as a 3 piece and started working on new original material. Then we started getting the run around from the agencies booking us. They said we needed a fourth member to make us a marketable entity. We hired our forth and still got the run around and in the meantime our original material sat gathering dust. It wasn't until we hired my friend Brook Krieger in the summer of 2005 that things would turn around. Brook helped us finish off the stuff we had started which has become the EP "Yesterday's Trash". Brook left the band at the end of 2006 and we decided to join the Aultimate Ozzy tribute as well as continuing on as Bones Gang back as a three piece. We realized the chemistry that started the whole thing was still there and we're still having fun at our own expense and everyone else's.

We've played with some big names and played in front of a whole lot of people. That hasn't changed things a bit. It's still the Bones Gang Boy's Club out there getting liquored up and making some noise.
