A Big Thank You! PDF Print E-mail
Monday, 10 August 2009
I'm sure it's probably a little late in coming, but that's kind of par for the course for me as of late.

I wanted to send out a HUGE Thank You to Peter X for coming out of retirement for one gig to fill-in for us at Monte's!
THAT'S RIGHT! If you missed this last show, you missed seeing at least 3/4ths of the old Bones Gang and 100% of the 2 time "Big Shooters" jam band!
The drummer we were working with prior to that had some personal issues. I'll leave it at that.
He found it best to walk out on us 2 weeks before the show.
It actually was all for the best.
Pete worked out FAR better than having him stay, and that was on 3 rehearsals. We had to flip-flop some material, but Pete is a total pro and made it work.
Some songs were better than others, but the whole night worked and was a hell of a lot of fun.
It was a blast to be able to jam with Pete again. We miss him.

I also wanted to thank everyone who showed up at Monte's and stuck around the entire night. I have missed seeing you!
Thanks for sticking around and not letting us play to a completely emtpy bar!
I know we didn't get around to playing any Bones Gang material, but that wasn't supposed to be the focus of this show.
We were trying to start something new and were actually going to play some new original stuff.
The way things worked out with our drummer jumping ship and bringing in Pete didn't leave us a whole lot of time to get everything in the set list.
Sorry if some of you were disappointed.
As I said, this wasn't supposed to be a Bones Gang reunion show like it sort of ended up being.
It was supposed to be the debut of Project Killer B's, and it was, just not quite like we'd planned....

I'll have to make sure to update the email address on our mailing list because I was informed that certain important members of the usual suspects did not get notification and had to find out thru the grapevine. :-)
I'll get that taken care of..... soon....

Another quick thank you goes out to all those who have been purchasing our music online.
We have had sales better than expected, but when you expect nothing it's kind of hard not to be happy with anything more than that!

So, what is the status now that Pete is happily back in retirement?
Brook and I are looking for a permanent replacement at the drummer position. No we're not giving up or calling it a day. We're back in the studio working on our original material while looking for the right person to handle our drummer duties.
We have some big things in the works outside of the original material and the Project Killer B's.
I'm not putting a timeline on any of it because it'll get done when it gets done.

Until next time!
B
